A leading company seeks a mid-career neuropsychologist for a clinical position in Morgantown, WV. The role involves providing neuropsychological services, supervising interns, and engaging in teaching and research within a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have a doctoral degree in psychology and specialization in neuropsychology.
West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a Neuropsychologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will join the staff of the Neuropsychology Service at WVU Medicine which currently consists of 15 neuropsychologists, three postdoctoral residents, interns, practicum students, and nine psychometrists.
We seek a mid-career neuropsychologist who will bring valuable experience and clinical depth to the division. This clinical position will include joining multidisciplinary teams to provide neuropsychological services for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions such as memory disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and others. Experience providing pre-surgical evaluations with patients with movement disorders is expected. The clinical practice model is based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, supported by psychometrist-administered testing.
The successful applicant may play a role in the supervision of interns and postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in our APPCN-member program. Additional teaching opportunities exist with medical students and residents within the department and broader Health Sciences Center on topics relevant to psychology/neuropsychology. In addition to clinical and educational roles, collaborative research activities may be developed based on applicant interest.
Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program, an internship with experience in neuropsychology, and a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology. Applicants must be eligible for state licensure and be board eligible/board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology. For appointment at the Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) in neuropsychology is required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
