Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Neuropsychologist to join our outpatient rehab team. This full-time position is day shift, Monday through Friday.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, perform evaluations, and educate patients and families. Inova offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Formación

• Doctorate in Psychology required.
• VA license as a Clinical Psychologist required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (2-year fellowship completion required).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Job Description

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Neuropsychologist to join our outpatient rehab team. This role will be Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday.

Neuropsychologist Job Responsibilities

• Facilitates effective treatment plans. Formulates comprehensive treatment plans to address psychological/behavioral issues and support the functional goals of the rehabilitation treatment team. Gives information and instruction to the treatment team pertinent to the psychological, behavior and pain management strategies for patients. Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans. Chooses appropriate tests/tools relevant to the reason for referral.
• Performs reassessments according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Adjusts the treatment plan regularly, appropriately and as patients' status change.
• Documents the results of the evaluation, clearly and completely, including all essential elements according to department policy. Documents evidence of patient and family/caregiver education.
• Assumes a leadership role in committees, department process and special projects while following clinical expertise and individual performance plans.
• Maintains department productivity standards and makes efficient use of nonbillable time. Contributes to program educational efforts. Provides educational materials and community resource information to patients and families at their level of understanding and motivation.
• Consistently completes routine individual administrative responsibilities (e.g. timecards, coverage notes, charge entry, scheduled tasks) based on supervisor observation, documentation and departmental reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Doctorate in Psychology
• Licensure: VA license as a Clinical Psychologist
• Experience: 2 years of clinical experience (2-year fellowship completion requirement)
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
