The Psychologist functions as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. The role involves assessment and treatment of patients admitted to the Stroke Program, as well as ongoing psychotherapeutic and educational contact with those patients and their support systems. Experience in acute rehabilitation and behavioral health interventions is a plus. Preferred candidates will have experience providing education and support to treatment teams. Opportunities include speaking engagements, participation in hospital committees, and collaborative research. Other specialty programs may include SCI, Brain Injury, Amputee, and Medical Rehabilitation.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an APA-accredited university required. Experience with patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, strokes, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, and workers' compensation is preferred.
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
