Neurophysiology Technician, Non Registered - Neurosensory - Full Time - Days

Position Summary

Conducts and records various EEG tests (routine, portable, ECS, ambulatory, and video). Performs Evoked Potentials (EPs) when needed.

Accountabilities
  1. Performs routine, portable, ambulatory, video, and ECS EEGs independently as ordered.
  2. Scans ambulatory and video EEG records independently.
  3. Obtains pertinent patient history as required.
  4. Schedules and reviews testing considering clinical urgency and patient load.
  5. Prepares patients in various settings for testing.
  6. Prepares test results and reports for physician interpretation.
  7. Participates in seminars, meetings, and educational activities.
  8. Transports patients for testing when necessary.
  9. Participates in on-call and cross-campus rotations.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to understand directions and operate computers.
  • Associate degree in EEG Technology preferred (per ABRET standards for certification eligibility).
  • Experience in electroneurodiagnostics procedures preferred, including evoked potentials, sensory testing, and epilepsy monitoring.
  • Two years of experience preferred.
