Job summary

Cytokinetics, a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, seeks a physician leader to drive clinical development from planning through NDA submissions. You will author protocols, oversee safety reviews, and interact with health authorities while partnering with new product planning for market research and life‑cycle management.

You will coordinate with medical affairs, biotech teams, and external investigators to formulate development plans, present results, and influence launch

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with internal medicine or neurology board certification by ABIM.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in clinical development, biotech/pharma or as a clinical investigator.
• Experience with heart failure is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, across levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical lead for cross‑functional clinical research and development teams.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive clinical development plans with multiple stakeholders.
• Design protocols and oversee medical monitoring and clinical trial execution.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and interactions (INDs, NDAs, etc.).
• Perform product safety reviews and analyze trial data; present results at meetings.
• Build relationships with leaders and investigators in internal medicine or neurology.
• Plan clinical advisory board meetings and present plans to executives.
