Job summary

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology and Neurosurgery service. The CVT/RVT/LVT will support neurologic diagnostics, anesthesia, and procedures, work closely with our neurology team, and help with patient records and owner communications.

This full-time role offers opportunities to learn MRI and CT scanning, advanced anesthesia techniques, and surgical assistance.

Qualifications

• Passionate about neurology and delivering high-quality patient and client care.
• Comfortable with general anesthesia and ventilation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• History taking, assisting in consultations, maintaining medical records, and communicating treatment plans with owners.
• Willingness to learn and participate in in-service training.

Responsibilities

• History taking and assisting in consultations.

• Assisting neurologist in neurosurgical procedures including MRI/CT scanning and neurosurgeries.
