BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Neurology Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced, patient-centric team. You will set up CRIs, assist with anesthesia, and support MRI/CT procedures while delivering client education and high-quality nursing care.

The pay range is $20-$40 per hour, starting point based on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. Typical schedule is a 38-hour week over four days with a Saturday rotation.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.

Pay: $20 - $40 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

Tentative Schedule: Typical weekly schedule is a 38-hour 4 day work week with a Saturday rotation schedule. Able work 2 late shifts per week.

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
• Induce, monitor and recover ASA level 1 - 3 anesthesia cases.
• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc.. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
• Perform call backs and refill medications
• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
• Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
• Understand normal vital parameters
• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture
• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
• Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
