BluePearl Pet Hospital in Farmington, MI is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Neurology department.

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for credentialed technicians.

BluePearl Pet Hospital offers an exciting, fast-paced opportunity for Veterinary Technicians that allows you to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:
  1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
  2. Triage emergency cases, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
  4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs, including heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting the Veterinarian to any changes.
  6. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
  7. Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
  8. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
  9. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
  10. Mentor and train other team members.
  11. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
