Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Neurology Clinical Supervisor to join our fast-growing Emergency and Specialty team. In this role you will handle a variety of cases, oversee the Clinical Services team during shifts, and participate in advanced neurological procedures such as CT or MRI.

The ideal candidate has veterinary experience, strong calculations skills, and can manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent patient care and clear communication with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required, neurology experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions).
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escalates issues to Clinical Manager.
• Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within department(s).
• Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift.
• Directly manages Clinical Services team members while on shift.
• Manages early call-ins, early departures, call-offs, sharing of resources, breaks and lunches for team members.
• Assigns team member responsibilities per shift.
• Addresses process or employee issues during their shift.
• Communicates schedule changes, performance concerns and shift issues to the Clinical Manager routinely.
• Serves as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations.
• Trains and mentors new team members.
• Provides input to Clinical Manager on team member performance evaluations.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities.
• Participates in management or administrative meeting(s) routinely.
