Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is seeking a Neurology Veterinary Technician to join our expert team. You will assist with CRI setups, anesthesia monitoring, MRI/CT prep, and client education while delivering high‑quality care for neurological patients.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary neurology care and anesthesia support.
• Strong knowledge base with motivation to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Perform call backs and refill medications.
• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician.
• Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
