Job summary

Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota is seeking a Neurology Technician Assistant to join our fast-paced specialty service in Oakdale, MN. You will work alongside neurology doctors, Licensed Veterinary Technicians, and the care team to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.

The role focuses on hands-on patient handling, preparing examinations, assisting with treatments, hospital admissions and discharges, and maintaining clean, safe treatment spaces while following

Qualifications

Experience in veterinary or animal care environments.
Ability to handle dogs and cats of varying sizes with care.
Willingness to learn new clinical skills and workflows.
Effective communication and teamwork across the hospital.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient handling, restraint, positioning and mobility.
Prepare patients and treatment areas for examinations, diagnostics and procedures.
Support veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians during patient care.
Assist with hospitalized patient care, including walking, feeding and cleaning.
Maintain exam and treatment areas and keep equipment clean and stocked.
Assist with admissions, discharges and patient movement throughout the hospital.
