The Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Neurology team in Lynnwood, WA. This full-time role offers a 4-day work week with weekend availability and a commitment to compassionate care for pets and their families.

You will support veterinarians, educate clients, maintain medical records, and collaborate with a Thrive Pet Healthcare team to provide outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

• Veterinary assistant experience required; specialty experience bonus.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Assist with procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
