Job summary
Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join the Neurology team in Lynnwood, WA. This full-time position supports veterinarians in delivering high-quality care, maintaining records, and assisting with neurological exams and imaging.
The ideal candidate is a licensed technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) or pending licensure with 1–2 years of clinical experience and anesthesia experience.
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician required or pending licensure.
- 1–2 years of clinical experience, neurology a bonus.
- Must have anesthesia experience.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
- Assist in maintaining accurate medical records and relevant history.
- Assist doctors with neurological examinations while handling patients safely.
- Understand seizure control principles and recognize activity.
- Produce diagnostic radiographs of thorax and spine.
- Prepare sterile surgical areas and instruments and collect CSF samples.
- Administer analgesic CRI under DVM direction and monitor anesthesia for MRIs.
- Place and maintain catheters; perform CPR per RECOVER standards.
- Maintain clean treatment areas and collaborate with team.
