Under the manager's direction, you plan, direct and coordinate nursing care on a designated shift, delivering direct patient care when needed and serving as a clinical resource to staff. Minimum qualifications include a Nursing Diploma/Associate's, RN license, and 2–5 years of nursing experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development
• Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment; educates patients and families on post-treatment home care and medication administration

• Provides unit leadership for defined periods using critical thinking, assessment, and evaluation skills
• Evaluates patient responses and modifies plans of care accordingly during the stay
