BJC HealthCare's Christian Hospital in St. Louis is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care and support within an 18-bed Comprehensive Medical Rehabilitation Unit.

The role involves assessment, planning and implementation of care with collaboration from interprofessional team to meet patient goals. The position requires a Nursing Diploma/Associate's, RN licensure, and allows for a preferred Bachelor's Degree with less than 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required.
• RN licensure required.
• No prior experience required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Less than 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness or injury management, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities; engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family; ensures communication of the plan across the continuum of care.
• Uses nursing skills to assess and address physical, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients.
