Job summary

Physicians' Clinic of Iowa in Cedar Rapids is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neurology department to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers, recording vitals, preparing Botox injections, and coordinating test scheduling. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• Experience providing infusion treatment preferred.
• BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
• Proficiency in EMR and related computer systems.
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
• Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
• Prepare Botox injections.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Complete prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing.
• Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication.
• Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling of tests/procedures, referral appointments as needed., changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills.
• Cross train for IV infusion therapy as needed.
