Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Neurology trained physician to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Practice Highlights

  • Only have practice call responsibility, no admissions or hospital call – low volume
  • Monday - Friday Schedule: Physician will have 36 hours of scheduled patient care and 4 hours of administrative time per week.
  • Daily volume of 18 + patients per day for a mature practice
  • Perform EEG and EMG. Ability to participate in EEG call and conduct EMG Nerve Conduction studies
  • Manage movement disorders, epilepsy, seizure disorders, Botox in clinic, MS, demyelinating diseases
  • Primary Stroke certified. Organized as an integrated neuroscience program.
Responsibilities

Summary: Serves as a Neurologist physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG Neurology practice in outpatient clinic.
  • Performs Botox injections, EMG/NCV and interprets EEGs.
  • Participates in night call in rotation with Neurohospitalists.
  • Supervises the care delivered by APCs in the PMG Neurology practice.
  • Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures.
  • Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints.
  • Participates in quality improvement plans.
  • Works with the leadership team including DPO, MSO, clinic manager on the practices financial, clinical, and service quality performance.
  • Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice.
  • Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority.
  • Performs other functions as required.

Credentials Required: M.D./D.O. in Neurology. Current New Mexico License required by start date.

Physical Requirements: Ability to determine care plans for patients and execute them. Ability to teach and train in the care they deliver to Neurology patients in clinic. Sits, stands, walks 8-12 hours a day. Assumes and maintains various postural positions from ground to overhead.
