Job summary

Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas - Ascension is seeking a Full-Time APRN or PA to join our Neuro ICU team.

You will provide direct, comprehensive care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity Neurocritical Care unit, under physician supervision and within a renowned nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Texas-licensed Nurse Practitioner prior to hire.
• Texas RN license prior to hire date.
• BLS Provider required; ACLS/DEA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care with thorough histories, exams, and preventative screening.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostics; develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision.
• Manage ongoing conditions and document care to ensure quality outcomes.
• Counsel patients and families on prevention, treatment pathways and community resources.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

What additional preferences you'll need

• Acute Care Certifications for all APRNs
• Critical care experience for all PAs
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
