Ballad Health Medical Associates is seeking a Neurohospitalist to join the Neurohospitalist team at Johnson City Medical Center in Northeast Tennessee. The role offers a balanced mix of critical care and inpatient consultation, with support from two full-time Nurse Practitioners and overnight Teleneurology coverage for Code Strokes.

The candidate may have fellowship training in stroke/vascular neurology, but this is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in stroke or vascular neurology is welcome, but not mandatory.
• Comfortable reading inpatient EEGs.
• Ideal candidate would enjoy teaching neurology concepts to Internal Medicine residents and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurology consultations and coordinate with ER/ICU teams.
• Read and interpret inpatient EEGs as part of patient care.
• Teach and mentor Internal Medicine residents and medical students.

Job description

Ballad Health Medical Associates (BHMA) has an exciting opportunity available for Neurohospitalist to join an existing practice at Johnson City Medical Center in Northeast Tennessee. JCMC is a thrombectomy capable Level 1 Stoke and Level 1 Trauma Center. The JCMC Neurology team provides consultations to ER, ICU and inpatient teams. Currently, we have 1 Neurologist and 2 NPs per shift and we looking to expand this team to 1 additional neurologist per shift. We are seeking a collaborative and team-oriented candidate to join out Neurohospitalist team. Fellowship training in stroke or vascular neurology is welcome, but not mandatory. Candidate has to be comfortable reading inpatient EEGs. Ideal candidate would enjoy teaching neurological concepts to Internal Medicine residents and students applying to Neurology residency, who are also part of the inpatient team. Teleneurology coverage is available at night for Code Strokes.

Seeking a Neurohospitalist or fellowship trained stroke neurologist for an exciting inpatient opportunity. Johnson City Medical Center is a 445 bed regional tertiary referral center located in beautiful Northeast Tennessee. This particular position offers a balanced mix of critical care and inpatient consultation. Two full-time Nurse Practitioners are also part of the team to support the Neurologist with inpatient duties.

• 1 Week on, 1 Week off work schedule
