We are seeking a highly skilled Neurologist to join our healthcare team in Albany, NY. The Neurologist will provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological conditions, including diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, muscles, and nerves. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, a strong clinical background, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, migraines, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Perform neurological exams and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, and EEGs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses and medical history.
Prescribe medications and provide other treatment options, including referrals to specialists or rehabilitation therapies as necessary.
Monitor patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Provide patient education regarding neurological conditions, treatments, and lifestyle changes to improve overall health and manage symptoms.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters.
Participate in on-call rotations for emergency cases and urgent consultations.
Stay current on advances in neurological medicine through continuing education and professional development.
