Neurology opening: Elkhart, IN

Location details: South Bend 23m; Chicago 100m; Indianapolis 160m

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent
• Clinic Hours: Monday through Thursday, Friday until noon
• Physician-owned multi-specialty group practice with 36 physicians across 16 specialties and sub-specialties; 40% primary care (internal medicine and family medicine) and 60% surgical and non-surgical specialists
• Comprehensive laboratory and imaging services including MRI and CT-PET, onsite infusion, EEG, AEEG, EMG-NCV
• Optional neuro hospitalist opportunity: one week per month
• eCW EMR system
• Office Call Rotation: 1 in 3, by phone, typically one week at a time; hospitalist program provides 24/7 coverage

Salary and Benefits

Annual guarantee of $300,000 for two years, with RVU incentives, signing bonus, relocation assistance, and CME allowance. Ownership/partnership in the clinic and clinic building is expected, offering additional income opportunities. The clinic participates in fee-for-service contracts with Medicare, commercial, and preferred provider plans, with some plans offering quality-based bonuses. Also involved in value-based contracts requiring documentation of cost and quality data.

Practice Environment

Private physician office with exam and procedure rooms, supported by front and back-office staff. Includes a full research center with phase 2-4 protocols within a national research network.

Qualifications and Training

Board certification or eligibility (considered if residency completed within the last 5 years). Subspecialty interest preferred. EEG experience strongly preferred; EMG recommended. Excellent communication skills required.

Hospital Environment

Modern, financially stable, 270-bed community hospital with a 23-bed ICU and 30-bed PCU, located within one mile of the clinic. Good relationships with hospital administration and staff. Opportunity to participate in a neuro-hospitalist rotation one week per month.
