Remote Pediatric Neurology - Clinical Trial Sub-Investigator Massachusetts-Based DEE Epilepsy Focus Fully Remote with Minimal Travel
We're seeking 1-2 experienced physicians to serve as Sub-Investigators (Sub-I's) for an ongoing pediatric neurology clinical trial focused on Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies (DEE). This is a fully remote position with a potential for 10% travel to meet patients in person. Ideal for pediatric neurologists, but also open to providers trained in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with relevant experience.
Position Overview : Start Date : ASAP
Assignment Length : 6+ months, with potential for long-term involvement (trial continues for 18+ months)
Hours : Minimum of 20+ hours per week, offered in 3+ hour blocks
Location : Fully remote with occasional (10%) in-person visits possible
Trial Scope :
Pediatric patients with DEE (severe drug-resistant epilepsies with significant developmental delays)
Primary role involves continuity of care and monitoring safety and eligibility criteria throughout each patient's study journey
Core Responsibilities :
Conduct and record video neurological exams for eligibility review
Review and interpret clinical assessments (lab, ECG, eCOA, C-SSRS, TETRA S-ADL, CGI-S, PGI-C, PGI-S)
Monitor adverse events and oversee treatment unblinding as necessary
Evaluate physical exams, lab results, and patient safety data
Sign and maintain Case Report Forms
Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
Qualifications :
Board Certification in Neurology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice
Clinical Trial / Sub-Investigator experience - Required
Experience working with pediatric neurology or epilepsy patients - Highly Preferred
DEA license - Required
GCP certification - can be obtained upon hire
Comfortable with virtual patient care and documentation
