Job summary

Mercy in St. Louis seeks an RN Nursing Manager for the Neurology Department to oversee 24-hour nursing care delivery and achieve quality clinical outcomes while maximizing resource utilization.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, RN licensure, 3+ years of leadership experience, and strong data/PC skills. BSN and Master's are preferred; internal transfer possible if pursuing a BSN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; internal transfer applicants may be considered if pursuing a BSN.
• Actively pursuing a Baccalaureate degree is defined as being enrolled in a Baccalaureate program and completing at least one course per semester.
• Must be proficient with a personal computer and able to analyze complex data from information systems.
• Past experiences must demonstrate leadership ability, good interpersonal skills, and ability to apply sound management and supervision principles.
• BSN preferred. Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of nursing care to a specific patient population on a 24-hour basis.
• Promote a professional practice environment aligned with Mercy Service Standards.
• Lead department initiatives to improve quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and resource utilization.
• Implement elements of the Nursing Strategic Plan within their department.
