Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking a Neurology Nurse Practitioner in Colleyville, TX. The role combines in-clinic patient assessments with telehealth sessions and monthly admin days. Work schedule includes weekdays with in-clinic care, telehealth from home, and dedicated admin time.

The NP will lead patient care plans, collaborate with neurologists, and support education for patients and families. A Texas NP license, advanced degree, and neurology experience are required.

Qualifications

• Texas NP license must be current and unrestricted.
• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
• National NP certification (AANP or ANCC)
• Minimum 1 year of Neurology experience as an NP
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, including neurological exams and history.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (MRI, CT, EEG, labs).
• Develop and implement neurology treatment plans with neurologists.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Provide follow-up care including medication management.
• Assist in urgent consultations and triage of neurological patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education.

Work Schedule: Monday / Wednesday / Thursday in clinic; Tuesday telehealth (WFH); Friday admin day (WFH)

Location: Colleyville, TX

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, including neurological exams and history taking
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., MRI, CT, EEG, lab work)
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Provide follow-up care, including medication management and symptom monitoring
• Assist in urgent consultations and triage of neurological patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• National NP certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC)
• Minimum 1 year of Neurology Experience as an NP required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
• Experience with procedures such as lumbar punctures or Botox for migraine (optional)
• Willingness to participate in clinical research or teaching (if applicable)
• Experience with infusion clinic management preferred but not required
