Job summary

Cerebrocare in Brownsville, Texas seeks a Neurology Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical care in an outpatient neurology clinic. You will collaborate with neurologists to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological conditions and TB-related injuries.

You will order and interpret diagnostic studies, educate patients, and participate in after-hours and weekend schedules as needed. Texas NP licensure and national certification are required, with DEA registration preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP).
• Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP).
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and patient evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage neurological conditions, including TBI-related injuries.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans with neurologists.
• Prescribe medications, injections, and therapies per Texas scope-of-practice laws.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies (EEGs, imaging, labs).
• Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, plans, medications, and lifestyle.
