Job summary

Duke Neurology Clinic in Durham, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for the Morreene Road Headache Clinic. You will work with attending physicians, collect data, perform examinations, and provide direct patient care in a Monday–Friday day shift with flexible hours to meet patient needs.

The role requires NP or PA credentials and current North Carolina licensure, plus DEA for prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioners: Master’s in Nursing or equivalent.
• Physician Assistants: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations.
• Establish and follow plan of care with MD.
• Prescribe medications and manage prior authorizations.
• Provide patient and family teaching.
• Order labs, tests, and procedures; follow up.
• Coordinate care with other medical professionals.
• Communicate results and collaborate with staff.
