Job summary

VCA Kalamazoo Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Portage, MI is hiring an experienced Neurology MRI Veterinary Technician to perform diagnostic MRI studies under the direction of a veterinarian.

You will create imaging protocols, review patient information, coordinate MRI flow, and maintain equipment records while following safety procedures. The position is full-time with compensation of $30–$40 per hour, depending on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

Qualifications

• MRI experience in veterinary setting or human medicine MRI welcome.
• LVT with MRI experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PACS, hospital software and imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform diagnostic MRI studies under a veterinarian's direction.
• Create new and modify existing imaging protocols.
• Review patient information and prepare for procedures following safety protocols.
• Coordinate patient flow through the MRI department to expedite service.
• Troubleshoot equipment and document failures; notify management.
