Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in Neurodegeneration to operate in Southern California–San Diego. This field-based role drives peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with leaders and healthcare professionals, translating science into patient care and supporting medical strategies across regions.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD/APP/PA/NP with neuroscience or disease-area experience.
• Field medical experience in neurology is preferred.
• Strong scientific communication and publication understanding.
• Ability to engage with Thought Leaders and regional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with HCP education and medical strategy alignment.

Responsibilities

• Develops trusted relationships with academic and community Thought Leaders in neurology.
• Engages in proactive and reactive scientific dialogue across multiple channels.
• Collaborates with TLs, societies, and guideline committees to inform strategy.
• Provides training to external speakers and supports pre/ peri-launch activities.
• Supports payers in pre-launch and peri-launch phases with health economics insights.
• Addresses unsolicited HCP questions in real time and via Medical on Call.
• Documents goals and leverages digital tools to enhance engagement.
• Provides clinical trial insights and site feasibility input to development teams.
