Job summary

Ascension’s Jacksonville facility is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front-desk operations. The role involves preparing patients for exams, assisting physicians during procedures, and accurately documenting histories and vital signs in patient charts.

You will also handle room prep, supplies, and essential clerical tasks to ensure smooth clinic flow. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of relevant experience) and be BLS certified

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist physician with procedures.
• Record patient vital signs, medical histories and information in charts accurately.
• Manage clinical logistics: prepare treatment rooms and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Perform essential clerical duties: answer phones, file, and maintain patient records.
