Job summary

Saint Luke's Neurology Clinic in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. A 10-week on-the-job training program is offered for those with limited experience, and you will support providers in evaluation, management, and delivery of care in a busy multi-specialty practice.

You will handle responsibilities from patient flow and vitals to phlebotomy, injections, procedures support, EMR use, and front-office

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• On-the-job training: 10 weeks provided if experience lacks.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow and deliver excellent customer service.
• Pre-visit planning, rooming patients and obtaining vitals.
• Phlebotomy.
• Administer injections and coordinate vaccines.
• Assist providers with procedures.
• Use the EMR system and scan/download documents.
• Conduct telephone screening following protocols.
• Cover front office responsibilities as needed.
