Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited NJ post-secondary medical assisting program (min 330 hours) with injection training.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical office procedures.
• Proficiency in health information documentation and charting.
• CMA certification within 180 days is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and verify identification.
• Perform and document vital signs and basic clinical tasks.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures (EKG, venipuncture, injections).
• Maintain and order clinical supplies.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Record medical histories, symptoms, medications, and test results in charts.
