Qualifications

• Experience: completion of a medical assistant program or 1 year in a clinical setting.

• Licensure/Certification: BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients by name and DOB before interactions.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Document visit notes including chief complaint, vitals, and history.
• Administer waived testing under physician supervision and document results.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist with medications per orders and policies.
• Support minor surgical procedures and specimen handling.
• Coordinate patient flow and communication with families.
