Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examinations and treatments. You will interview patients, record vital signs, prepare specimens, and assist with procedures while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation.

You will coordinate patient flow, schedule tests and referrals, and triage calls. The role requires teamwork, accuracy in notes, and adherence to safety and clinical policies in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program or 1 year experience in a clinical capacity.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient by requesting patient name and DOB before any interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Document patient visit notes including chief complaint and vitals.
• Administer waived tests under direct supervision.
• Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms and manage supplies.
• Assist physician with minor procedures and specimen handling.
• Coordinate patient flow and scheduling to optimize clinic efficiency.
• Communicate test results and medication changes to patients within 48 hours.
