Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role in Neurology. The position involves float coverage to various Neurology clinics in Center City Charlotte, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm and 40 hours per week.

A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, lab procedures, assisting with procedures, immunizations, IV tasks, patient education, and coordination of care with nurses

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required in the state where practice occurs.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days unless waived by leadership.
No prior experience required for this position.

Responsibilities

Prepare and room patients for exams; record vital signs and health information.
Perform laboratory procedures following aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams and EMG.
Administer medications per orders, including immunizations and IVs within scope.
Educate patients on treatments and referrals; coordinate tests and follow-up visits.
Document patient conditions accurately and communicate with the medical team.
Support aging and life-span needs and adapt care by age group.
