UTHealth Houston's McGovern Medical School Department of Neurology invites applications for Vice Chair of Clinical Operations at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The role leads inpatient, consultative, and ambulatory services and partners with Memorial Hermann Health System and other clinical partners to deliver high-quality, efficient care with an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with neurology training and board certification.
• Leadership experience suitable for Associate Professor or Professor.
• Proven record in hospital and clinic operations and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct design, coordination, and improvement of inpatient, consultative, and ambulatory neurology services.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and escalation standards for neurohospitalist and clinic services.
• Develop data-driven dashboards and performance reviews with defined goals and owners.
• Partner with hospital leadership to optimize patient flow, bed utilization, and transitions to ambulatory care.
• Mentor division chiefs and physician leaders; build a strong clinical leadership structure.
• Advance quality, safety, and regulatory readiness in collaboration with institutional teams.
