Job summary

Duke University Hospital Neurology Clinic 1L is seeking a Registered Nurse dedicated to advancing health and compassionate patient care. You will provide and coordinate nursing care within a busy neuro clinic, focusing on patient safety and experience while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a BSN or higher, NC license within 90 days, BLS, and strong clinical judgment. You will contribute to professional development and quality improvement in a Magnet-designated

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) is required.
• All RNs without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in BSN within two years and complete within seven years.
• North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Use nursing judgment to individualize care based on assessment.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other staff as assigned.
• Assist other nursing personnel and act as team leader or charge nurse.
• Monitor and maintain care environment and equipment resources.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency maintenance.
• Act as preceptor and support staff development.
• Contribute to performance improvement opportunities and activities.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
