The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University invites applications for an associate professor or associate clinical professor of neurology.

The successful candidate will provide advanced neurology care for patients and serve clients and referring veterinarians while contributing to teaching in the DVM student and house officer training programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM or equivalent degree.
• Completion of a residency program in Neurology meeting the requirements of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Neurology specialty is mandatory.
• Board certification in neurology (ACVIM-Neurology or European College of Veterinary Neurology) is required at the date of hire.
• Excellence in neurosurgery is a requirement.
• An advanced degree (MSc or PhD) is considered an asset for an unmodified associate professor appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding advanced care in neurology for patients and service to clients and referring veterinarians.
• Contribute to teaching in the DVM student and house officer training programs.
• Mentor neurology residents and specialty interns; supervise resident research projects.
