Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM or equivalent degree.
• Completion of a residency program in Neurology meeting the requirements of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Neurology specialty, or a similar board.
• Board certification in neurology (ACVIM-Neurology or European College of Veterinary Neurology) is required at, or no later than two years following, the date of hire.
• Competency in neurosurgery is a requirement.
• Proficiency in electrodiagnostic procedures is a major advantage.
• An advanced degree (MSc or PhD, or equivalent) is considered an asset for an unmodified assistant professor appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding advanced care in neurology for patients.
• Contribute to teaching in DVM student and house officer training programs.
• Mentor neurology residents and specialty interns.
• Participate in specialty board review sessions, journal clubs, and resident training.
• Develop independent or collaborative research projects with faculty and external researchers.
