Job summary

Duke Neurology Clinic in Durham, NC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to work with attending physicians and APPs, collecting data, conducting procedures, and providing direct patient care to epilepsy patients. Primary hours are Monday through Friday, day shift, with flexibility to meet patient needs.

Role requires completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, with relevant licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• NP requires MSN in Nursing.
• PA requires Bachelor's in PA; Master's preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NC RN licensure for NP or NC PA licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform exams, write progress notes and develop therapeutic relationships.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures and explain procedures.
• Clinic sessions include multiple half-day clinics per week with epilepsy patients, combining in-person and telehealth visits.
• Participate in clinical research or teaching opportunities as discussed with supervising neurologists.
