Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Neurology to perform complete histories and neurologic examinations for new and established patients.

The role involves evaluating lab, EEG, EMG, and VNG results, educating patients and families, and coordinating referrals to other providers and services within an ambulatory setting. The APRN/PA will document encounters, identify complex neurologic cases in collaboration with supervising physicians, and ensure timely

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing APRN or Master's in Physician Assistant Studies - Required
• Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program - Required
• 1 Year as a physician extender - Preferred
• Professional License in State of Practice - Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required

Responsibilities

• Renders direct patient care in ambulatory setting following physician protocol.
• Refers patients for follow-up care and additional diagnostics as warranted.
• Maintains thorough medical documentation within three days of encounter.
• Educates patients and families about condition, treatment options, and self-management.
• Collaborates with supervising Neurologists and Neurohospitalists for patient care.
• Assists with management of medications and refills per protocol.
• Participates in practice administrative tasks and continuing medical education.
