Job summary

Irvine Clinical Research, a West Coast leader in clinical trials, seeks a Neurologist to serve as Principal Investigator across Phase 1–3 studies in memory disorders and other neurological conditions at our California clinics.

The successful candidate will lead study teams, ensure protocol adherence, and oversee safety and patient education for trial participants, with English-language expertise essential.

Qualifications

• Valid medical license to practice in California (or license-eligible)
• Board-certified in neurology or psychiatry
• Experience working with older adults in a clinical or research setting
• Clinical research experience preferred but not required
• Fluency in professional English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Lead study team as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator, ensuring trials are conducted safely and per protocol
• Conduct clinical intake interviews to determine medical eligibility of participants
• Educate potential participants about diseases and benefits of trial participation
• Manage participant safety and respond to adverse events promptly
• Perform cerebrospinal fluid collection (lumbar puncture) in studies
• Provide medical leadership to psychologists and study coordinators
