Job description

Neurologist - Licensed in OH, WA, NV, FL (Preferred)

Remo Health is hiring a full-time, 100% remote, Neurologist. This is a key role that will help us continue on our mission to transform the standard of dementia care.

About Us

Remo is building the new standard of dementia care. As a virtual provider, our expert clinical team designs care around patient and family needs (instead of a one-size-fits-all approach). Our care model empowers patients to age in place, surrounded by those they love. We also empower family caregivers with a vibrant community of other caregivers, expert content, and tools to manage the path ahead.

About the Role

As a Neurologist, you will report directly to our Medical Director and play an integral role in our ability to pursue our mission by leading the clinical team. The leader in this role will evaluate and manage a panel of follow-up patients with cognitive disorders and their caregivers (dyads), other members of the clinical team, lead educational efforts, and work closely with the Medical Director on hiring and training new providers as we expand to new markets.

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Evaluate and manage a panel of patients with cognitive disorders and their caregivers, with the full support of an interdisciplinary team (Pharmacist, Social Worker, Care Navigator etc.).
  2. Identify areas of improvements in the care model and technical platform to improve quality of care, dyad satisfaction, and provider experience.
  3. Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Operations to deliver on key clinical KPIs — e.g. quality targets, utilization metrics, patient/provider satisfaction, etc.
  4. Provide memory care training and oversight of new hires.
  5. Develop, implement, and maintain a curriculum of regular educational conferences for clinical providers.
  6. Provide necessary oversight of the interdisciplinary team by addressing staffing questions requiring neurologic expertise.
You May Be a Good Fit If You
  1. Have completed an ACGME accredited neurology residency.
  2. Have Board Certification in Neurology.
  3. Have expertise in dementia and related cognitive disorders.
  4. Have experience with and enjoy working in interdisciplinary care teams.
  5. Want to work remotely and see patients by telemedicine.
  6. Live for taking a holistic approach to the care of patients with dementia and caregivers.
  7. Are passionate about educating families and other clinical providers.
  8. Think systematically, breaking down complicated problems into manageable initiatives.
  9. Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate challenges creatively.
  10. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
You’re the Ideal Candidate If You Have
  1. Behavioral neurology fellowship training or substantial expertise in dementia or related cognitive disorders.
  2. Licensed in OH, WA, NV, FL (Preferred).
  3. A strong understanding of strategies to prevent cognitive decline and dementia.
  4. A proven track record of successfully leading clinical teams.
  5. A passion for building and iterating on a novel care model and technical platform.
  6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  7. A belief that the current state of dementia care is unacceptable and want to build a better care model.
How This Is Different from Other Clinical Jobs

This job is 100% remote, providing schedule flexibility. There is no requirement for inpatient time or call. You will be working within your chosen specialty of behavioral neurology. This is a salaried position with generous vacation, parental leave, and benefits. You'll have a strong voice in how we do things, and the opportunity to participate in research and publication without needing to apply for grants.

Benefits
  1. 401(k) with employer matching up to 4%
  2. 100% employer-paid health insurance benefits for employee + family
  3. Monthly wifi/cell reimbursement
  4. Talkspace
  5. Fertility benefits
  6. 20 days PTO + 11 company holidays
  7. 16 weeks parental leave for birthing parents and 8 weeks for non-birthing parents
  8. Pregnancy loss leave and bereavement leave
