Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Neurologist for Centrastate Hospital in Freehold, NJ. The position can be part time (4 shifts per month) or expanded with office shifts to reach full time, including Botox and EMG procedures.

The role involves diagnosing and treating neurological disorders, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, performing examinations, interpreting MRI/EEG, and contributing to patient education and quality improvement initiatives at CSTMC.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited neurology residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnosing and managing neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough neurological examinations and assessments to diagnose a wide range of neurological disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, neurosurgeons, therapists, and nurses to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT, EEG, and EMG to inform decisions.
• Provide patient education and counseling regarding neurological conditions and prognosis.
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance neurological care at CSTMC.

Job description

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Neurologist for a position at Centrastate Hospital in Freehold, NJ

This can be either part time - 4 shifts per month in hospital or add on additional shifts in office which can make the position full time especially if you do Botox and EMG's.

Round and go hospital shifts are averaging 17 patients a day.

12 hours shift based on a 7a-7p model.

As a Neurologist you will play a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by providing comprehensive neurological evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for staying current with advancements in neurology to apply evidence-based practices and innovative therapies. This role requires compassionate patient interaction, clear communication with families and healthcare providers, and a commitment to improving neurological health within the community. Ultimately, your work will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for patients facing complex neurological conditions at CSTMC.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited neurology residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnosing and managing neurological disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fellowship training in subspecialties such as stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, or neurocritical care.
• Experience working in a hospital or multidisciplinary clinical setting.
• Research experience or publications in neurology-related fields.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used at CSTMC.
