Overview

The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a full‑time academic epileptologist to join a nationally recognized, rapidly expanding Level IV comprehensive epilepsy center. The program offers advanced epilepsy care, including robotic stereo‑EEG, laser interstitial thermal therapy, radiofrequency ablation, neuromodulation, and 7‑Tesla MRI.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Approximately 10 weeks per year of inpatient EMU/ICU service.
• Outpatient clinics at St. Louis Park and the University Clinical and Surgery Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency program and board certified or board prepared (ABMS or AOA).
• Graduate of an Epilepsy fellowship and board certified or board prepared for the Epilepsy subspecialty.
• Licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria and qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
• Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills.

Payment and Benefits

The position is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Base salary ranges from $218,757 to $344,326, commensurate with experience. Clinical salary aligns with clinical effort and is provided through MPhysicians.
