Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a physician to cover the Emergency Department, stroke program, and inpatient consults in Columbus, GA. This assignment involves 12-hour day and night call shifts with beeper call, and no clinic duties.

Providers will perform radiologic interpretation, lumbar puncture, thrombolytic therapy, and related procedures. Experience with EEG/EMG optional skills are preferred; travel and housing expenses are prepaid, with malpractice coverage provided.

Qualifications

• Covers ED, stroke program, and inpatient consults; no clinic.
• 12-hour shifts with day and night call coverage.
• Call only — beeper call type.

Responsibilities

• Cover the ED, stroke program, and inpatient consults.
• Provide radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar puncture, and thrombolytic therapy as needed.
• Brain death exams and pain management procedures preferred.
• Botox and peripheral/spinal nerve blocks preferred.
