Role Description

Neurologist Denver, CO Outpatient Primary Care Evaluating, diagnosing, and managing conditions affecting the nervous system

General Outpatient neurology position.

Conducting Neurological Exams

Assessing physical and cognitive function, including reflexes, cranial nerves, balance, muscle strength, sensory perception, and coordination.

Ordering and Interpreting Diagnostic Tests

Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to pinpoint the structural or electrical root of a issue: Neuroimaging: Brain and spine MRI, CT scans, and PET scans. Electrophysiology: EEG (brain activity monitoring), EMG (muscle activity testing), and NCS (nerve conduction studies).

Laboratory Work & Procedures

Lumbar punctures (spinal taps) and blood or genetic panels.

Designing Treatment Plans

Prescribing pharmaceuticals, recommending physical or occupational therapy, managing medical devices (like deep brain stimulators or vagus nerve stimulators), and coordinating multidisciplinary care.
