Job summary

New York Medical College, within the SHSP, invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in Neurologic Physical Therapy. The candidate will teach neurologic content in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and engage in scholarly activity.

Ideal applicants will mentor students, participate in CAPTE accreditation work, and collaborate with NYMC clinical partners and other departments, contributing to high-quality education and clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Contemporary expertise in neurologic physical therapy with proven teaching and evaluation in a DPT program.
• Preferred terminal degree (PhD/EdD/Dr.Ph./ScD) or clinical doctorate with scholarly emphasis.
• Evidence of scholarly accomplishments and capacity to establish a scholarly agenda.

Responsibilities

• Teach, coordinate, and assess lecture, laboratory, and other learning activities in neurological physical therapy and related DPT content.
• Develop and update course materials, exams, practical assessments, and learning experiences using contemporary evidence and inclusive teaching methods.
• Advise and mentor DPT students, supporting clinical reasoning, professional development, and academic progression.
