Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Neurointerventional Surgery/Endovascular Neurosurgery.
• Proficient in diagnostic imaging studies relevant to interventional procedures.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Virginia.
• Current, unrestricted DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and care plans.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions as clinically appropriate.
• Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
• Provide preventive care, patient education, and counseling.
• Coordinate patient care with specialists and healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in the electronic health record.
• Precept medical students, residents, and fellows as applicable.
• Stay current with advances in medical knowledge via CME.

Education

MD/DO degree

Board certified (or eligible) in Neurology/Neurosurgery/Radiology

Fellowship in Neurointerventional Surgery/Endovascular Neurosurgery

Current Virginia medical license

Current DEA license
