Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to deliver outpatient neuroimmunology care in the Neurology Department. The role involves direct patient care for MS and other neuroimmunologic conditions, with collaboration across CU Anschutz, UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, and satellite sites.

The successful candidate will participate in monitoring labs, reviewing MRI scans, and coordinating patient care with physician partners, using EPIC

Qualifications

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Colorado license or eligibility.
• Experience caring for patients with chronic neurologic diseases.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, diagnose, manage medications, and provide disease counseling.
• Acute and chronic outpatient care of patients with neurological disease including symptomatic therapy and disease-modifying therapy.
• Serve as first contact for clinician level patient communications.
• Engage in collaborative team-based care to make informed decisions for patient care.
• Support and engage in continual learning and development among nursing staff, physician assistants, pharmacy staff, medical students, and neurology residents.
• Periodic educational presentation of lectures to patients and others.
