Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a Research Associate to support NIH-funded neuroimaging research on neurodegenerative diseases and aging-related brain changes. You will supervise data acquisition, ensure QA/QC, manage data sharing, conduct image analyses, and contribute to manuscripts and grant submissions.

Preferred qualifications include intermediate-to-advanced programming, independent troubleshooting of analyses, and strong communication. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of research experience in neuroimaging preferred.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computer science, biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, psychology or a related field.
• Proficiency with Python, R, MATLAB or similar programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support acquisition of multimodal neuroimaging data (diffusion MRI, fMRI, MRS, PET).
• Monitor QA/QC to identify artifacts and deviations.
• Independently conduct, document, and troubleshoot neuroimaging analyses.
• Develop reproducible scripts/workflows for image processing and statistics.
• Maintain detailed documentation for reproducibility.
